Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel

As you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will welcome you. We will take you to the hotel.

Our tour operator will give you brief information about day to day program. Later, you can spend the remaining time relaxing.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding,

Altitude: 2850 m, Lukla and 2660 m, Phakding

Duration: 3-4 hrs

You will take an early morning flight to Lukla which will take about 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the flight as you get to witness the scenic aerial view.

Upon reaching Lukla, you will take a little rest and then start with your trek to Phakding.

You will walk through Chaurikharka village and descend towards Dudh Koshi. The trails then follow the bank of the Dudh Koshi river until you reach Phakding.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar

Altitude: 3435 m, Namche Bazaar

Duration: 6 hrs

Today after breakfast you will continue your trek upward Namche Bazaar. Initially, you will follow the trail along the bank of the Dudh Koshi river and cross the Dudh Koshi river. Later you will pass through a beautiful pine forest to Monjo.

On the way, you will get the first glimpse of Mt.Kusum Kangro, Mt.Thamserku, Mt Everest, and Mt Nuptse.

Thereafter, you will soon approach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park then descend to the Dudh Koshi river.

Here you will follow the steep climb to the beautiful village called the Namche Bazaar.

Day 04: Acclimatization and Rest Day at Namche

Altitude: 3435 m

Today is a rest day, we stop at Namche for acclimatization. It is very important before moving up to the higher elevation. You have the day to explore Namche, a beautiful village which is a tourist zone and trading hub of Khumbu region.

Apart from the abundant hotels and lodges, Namche also boasts three museums, a monastery, and a stupa. Also, it has several bakeries and storehouses of trekking stuff.

This particular village is far ahead of all other villages in the Everest region trekking route.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche

Altitude: 3890 m, Tengboche

Duration: 5-6 hrs

As usual, after breakfast, you will start your trek towards the Everest Base Camp. In today’s trek, you will get breathtaking views of the Himalayas- Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and many more.

A short descend takes you to the riverside, then you will cross the river upwards through the forest pass.

Brace your legs for a continuous uphill trek and between a gradual grade and some steep trails.

Today’s destination Tengboche is the most beautiful place in the Everest region. You will get to visit Tengboche monastery which is one of the largest monasteries in Khumbu.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche

Altitude: 4410 m, Dingboche

Duration: 6 hrs

Today you will start your trek through the rhododendron forest to Dingboche. You will cross a bridge over the Imja river. And further, pass the valley wall and then traverse to the plains to Pangboche village.

Pangboche is the biggest settlement of Sherpas in the Khumbu region. Here you will get the opportunity to observe a typical Sherpa village and have lunch with the locals.

Your afternoon trek will be a challenging one. The landscapes give way to dry, deserted mountains as you hike towards Dingboche.

Day 07: Trek to Lobuche

Altitude: 4910 m, Lobuche

Duration: 6-7 hrs

Henceforth the trek will gradually be more challenging due to the higher altitude. You will pass Dungla and to the top of the hill after a steep walk.

Here you will see the memorial stupas dedicated to the climbers and trekkers who lost their lives in the Everest.

The next part of your adventure takes you over mountain terrain to Lobuche. Lobuche is a small settlement with amazing views of Mt.Lobuche, Mt Pumari, and Mt.Nuptse.

Prepare yourselves for a colder night as you are now almost three miles above sea level.

Day 08: Trek to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp and Back to Gorak Shep

Altitude: 5180 m, Gorak Shep and 5380 m, Everest Base Camp

Duration: 6-8 hrs

This is it! Today is the big day of your trip. The trek starts with an initial easy trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep.

The subsequent straight trail to EBC is harder, involving rocky dunes and moraine. On the way to the destination, you will approach the famous Khumbu Glacier and Ice-falls in the region.

If it is spring season you will get chance to meet Everest climbers attempting to scale the Everest summit. After spending about 2-3 hours in EBC, you will move back to Gorakshep.

Day 09: Trek to Kalapatthar and Pheriche

Altitude: 5545 m, Kalapatthar, and 4320 m, Pheriche

Duration: 5-6 hrs

You will wake up before dawn and start your trek towards Kala Patthar for a glorious sunrise over Mt.Everest.

From your entire journey, this moment may be the best time to take some amazing close up pictures of the Everest and its neighboring peaks.

Later, you will head back to Gorak Shep and have your breakfast. Then you will descend in the direction of Pheriche where you will stop for the night.

Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar

Altitude: 3435 m, Namche Bazar

Duration: 7-8 hrs

The walk from Pheriche back to Tengboche is mainly downhill and is much easier.

By late afternoon you will reach Namche and you are off to bed before your last day on the mountain.

Day 11: Trek Back to Phakding and Lukla

Altitude: 2850 m

Duration: 6-7 hrs

After your breakfast, you will trek through the Hillary suspension bridge. And walk through some local villages before you Lukla.

You will reach Lukla in the evening where you will spend your last night in the tea house.

In general, you will spend the night with your trekking crew glorifying your success.

Day 12: Fly Back to Kathmandu (30-35 minutes)

Today will be the second last day of your journey. In the morning you will take a domestic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu- where your journey began and ends.

Upon landing one of our representatives will take you to the hotel. And you can take much-needed rest from the tiring trek.

In the evening you will enjoy a get together farewell dinner.

Day 13: Final Departure

With this, you come to an end with last day in Nepal. You will leave to the airport as per your flight timing.

When is the Best Time to go for EBC Trek?
