Expat Trekking Weekender

This trip is a short trek that packs a punch with spectacular views and beautiful countryside, perfect for a weekend retreat. If you are living and working in Nepal and often find yourself wondering what to do at the weekend, then dig out your hiking boots, get out of the city and come and enjoy a trek into a pristine environment, where the air is fresh, the locals are friendly and the views are pretty amazing. This is a great trek to introduce hiking to your kids as it is easy going and just two days of walking.

Starting with a short drive to Nagarkot where you will enjoy magnificent, sunrise panoramas of the Langtang Himalayas, we then begin trekking through local villages and hilly landscapes, through the Shivapuri National Park to the beautiful settlement of Chisapani. Here you will enjoy fantastic sunset views and the warm hospitality of the local people. The second day is a down hill venture through the forests and local villages where you will see terraced fields and traditional houses perched on the hillside. When we reach Sundarijal, it is just a short drive back to Kathmandu where you can relax at home and enjoy the memories of the weekend.
