Further, you will descend down into a beautiful valley that eventually leads back to Namche Bazaar. From here you will follow the normal route back to Lukla.

At the pass, a great view of the Gokyo lakes on one side, the Remo Pokhari lakes on the other side and a numerous of snowy peaks are in the background. This provides an incredible atmosphere.

Renjo La Pass route is off-the-beaten route and takes you through beautiful Sherpa villages of Thame and Thamo.

Complete all “Three Passes”

You can also combine the Gokyo lake trek with the three passes trek. In this trek, you will cross the three challenging 5000m pass i.e Renjo La, Cho La, Kongma La.

Crossing the second of the three passes (counter-clockwise), Cho La, takes you to Gokyo village.

From there you can climb the Gokyo Ri and continue on to the upper lakes and follow the Gokyo Lakes route on your return journey to Lukla.

The three passes trek is the ultimate Everest experience and one of the most challenging tea house treks in Nepal.

Thus, if you want to combine these treks, it is best that you start on the three passes trek and then join the Gokyo Lake trek.
